ENTRIES CLOSE SUNDAY: 125th Seniors and U17s

There is a special weekend coming up at Grangemouth on August 26/27 – when we stage the 125th scottishathletics National Senior Champs plus the Scottish U17 Champs.

And there is still time for YOU to compete at this event if you are U17 or above with our online entry system open until midnight on Sunday (13 August).

It’s the 125th edition of the Seniors with the history stretching back to a first event in 1883 with run of competition only broken on two occasions by the outbreak of World War.

As you would expect, we’ve made a number of plans to celebrate the occasion and those include the Queen’s Baton Relay coming to Grangemouth on Saturday 26 August; live stream online coverage on both days and a media partnership with The Herald.

With that kind of profile and promotion, it is vital we present the best possible event but to do that we need support from athletes, coaches and clubs.

In terms of the online footage, this will be the fourth year in a row that scottishathletics and Vinco have combined to offer this service for the main championship weekend of our track and field season and it fits with our communications policy of promoting our most significant events to as big an audience as possible.
