Enter the Senior Indoors

The indoor season is well underway for track and field athletes and the scottishathletics Senior Champs loom large.

Sunday 1 February is the date for the diary with the superb Emirates Arena in Glasgow once again the venue.

We’re taking entries now by post from clubs and online by individuals – and the deadline for those is Wednesday 14 January.

It should be a great event whether you are chasing a PB, a place on the podium or indeed a Scottish national title. Entries cost only £9.50 per event and there is a provisional timetable online on the page on our Events section.

U20 athletes are eligible to compete on February 1 at the Seniors, although there are also the Age Group Champs on offer a couple of weeks later.

High jumper Rachael Mackenzie and pole vaulter Gregor Maclean impressed at the Seniors at the Emirates early in 2014 – en route to qualification for Team Scotland for the Commonwealth Games.

And there were fine performance on the day from Allan Hamilton and Kathryn Christie, with both collecting double golds, as our report from our (old) website confirms.
