Inverclyde AC: West District XC Relays winners

 

The Cross Country Team Challenge is a scottishathletics initiative designed to put the focus on strength in depth and encourage clubs to enter senior teams in more events.

And there are two big fixtures still to come with the District XC Relays having been the first event to count in the series.

We’ve the National XC Relays coming up at Cumbernauld this Saturday afternoon with a 20-year high in terms of participation through the entry numbers submitted.

Then the 4K Champs – with races at U15 and U17 as well as Seniors – are scheduled for Bellahouston Park on Sunday 9 November.

Entries for the 4K Champs are still open (closing date via post Monday 27 October) and forms are available to clubs on the fixture page in the Events section of the website.

In the Cross Country Team Challenge, there were 10 points on offer for the winners of each of the District XC Relays.

So the men’s table leaders are as follows: Central AC, Inverclyde AC and Inverness Harriers.

Out in front in the points table for women’s teams are: Kilbarchan, Central AC and Inverness Harriers.
