The 2016 Coaching Conference brought together some of the world’s leading coaches to present and discuss key themes important to developing athletes – planning; athletic development and physical preparation; and technical development.
Coaches to Olympians were very prominent this year including Andy Young (Laura Muir) and Robert Hawkins (Callum Hawkins and Derek Hawkins) as well as Aston Moore, who coaches Scottish Paralympic medal-hope, long-jumper Stef Reid.
Jared Deacon coached Emily Diamond to 4 x 400m bronze in Rio while husband and wife team, Trevor Painter and Jenny Meadows, will lead one of our endurance breakouts.
