Club Leaders Academy update

Saturday 17th February 2018

Spikes on track

Delegates of our 2017-18 Club Leaders Academy gathered at the Emirates Arena in Glasgow recently for their latest development workshop.

It was the second such seminar delivered by Guy Richardson. Guy is the founder and CEO of Eiger Performance, former Team Manager for Scottish Rugby and Head of Operations for the British and Irish Lions.

Over the course of the two sessions with Guy, the delegates have benefitted from his wealth of experience in sport and life, exploring their roles as leaders in their athletics clubs and discussing how they can influence the future direction and culture of their clubs.

The leaders also shared with one another some of the changes they have made on the back of the first session with Guy in November 2017.

‘We’ve been delighted to have Guy involved in this year’s Club Leaders Academy and everyone has enjoyed spending time with him and learning from him,’ said Colin Hutchison, scottishathletics Head of Development.

‘It was fantastic to hear from the leaders that weekend about how they are implementing learning from the workshops. The scottishathletics development team and I are thoroughly enjoying working with them.’
